Removing scratches from carbon fiber hood

Removing scratches from carbon fiber hood

I just got a used seibon hood pretty cheap but it has some scratches and was wondering how could I removed them.
Polishing?

How deep are the scratches?

If its been cleared, try rubbing compound, followed by polishing compound. Im afraid if the scratches are too deep, it wont take them out.

it has a couple deep ones but small. Most of them arent deep I post pics when I get home.

Pics will help a lot. But depending if the scratches hit the carbon fiber base you might be able to get most of them out.

It will take a lot of patience and time but in the end I'm sure it will look 10x better.

I was told and seen to use wetsand paper and sand layer by layer until you hit the base of the carbon fiber. Than go over it with a nice clear coat

Most carbon fiber comes with cheap clear coat so make sure to do a couple of coats with good quality clear.

in this one ^^^^^ I scratched it a bit with my nail LoL but I used a rag to clean it and went away but didn't looked clean..

There not to bad . Try and polish the hood and should restore it pretty nice .
