Black 2006 Lancer ES. Dark tinted windows. My plan is for Black Depo Tail Lights and Head lights. These.... The head lights I am getting. My question is do you guys think the black Depo Tail lights are too much? Do you think the stock red's look better? Also anybody have any pictures of these on their car? Thanks for the suggestions.

 

I like my factory reds and have no plans on replacing them, however these do look really nice to bud.
I wouldn't say that they are too much at all.
But are they worth the extra $$?

 

The Tail's are like $100.00 shipped if you look in the right places. The headlights are $200.00. My current head lights are sun cooked. My tails have a small amount of sun damage that is barely noticeable. I bought this car used and I'm trying to clean it up a bit. I like black housings on headlights I was just concerned the black tails might be a bit much. decisions decisions... lol

 

If you do get black headlights, get projectors so you can install h.i.d.s later on down the line.

 

+1^ I have the black depo projectors with 6000k HID kit on my '03 and I LOVE them well worth it and they were only $100 more than the headlights your getting now. My tails are off ebay and put them on right when I bought the car in '06 and I love the style you can see them in my avatar.

I dunno if I like the Depo projectors due to the top wavy looking design. I don't want halo's either. Anybody have the Depo projectors installed? For the 04-06 Lancer

 

these don't come with halo's. You would have to install those seperately. And I also believe these are the only option for projectors that we have. but you can always search on ebay or anywhere for that matter for a pair of projectors. so you have a 04-06 lancer. They will look different then.

 

well just checked ebay and I didnt see any 04-06 headlamps without the ccfl halo. that sucks. But I just checked ebay. there are many other places to check.

 

I know the Depo's don't have Halo's. Aftermarket projector headlights with the halo's and so on can be sketchy and of poor quality. Depo makes decent OEM replica's and projectors so I would go with them. I just don't know if I like the top of these depo projector housings. The line design or whatever you want to call it lol

 

I love my black housing headlights, but I'm dumping them for the HIDs someone posted above. I definitely advise getting the taillights, personally I think they look sooo much better

 

I like those tails, but the stock red ones are baller looking already. And black projectors FTW, I love mine! I say if you are going to spend $200 on headlights, get projectors.

 

for the solution to the top of the headlights, just put a eyelid over them and they look 100x better
