Touch screen nav/cd player HD wipe

First, I apologize if this is a repost. I've tried to do my homework and searched the forums and the web but didn't find much at all.

I'm wondering if anyone has wiped the HD from the music server on their Navi. The dude that own this car before me was (for lack of a more appropriate word) weird, and now I have everything from Norah Jones and The Night at the Roxbury Soundtrack to Linkin Park(which is more my style). I dont want to lose my maps but I want that crap off there. Is there a better way to do that instead of removing it, sticking it in a computer, and clearing it that way(Is that even possible?)

I'll do whatever I have to do I just wanted to know if someone has already done it and if possible have some tips so I dont lose and have to buy new maps for it.

Thanks

You can go in and delete music without actually taking it out. There's a "^" button on the bottom left hand corner. Then there is a button that says "function settings" or something like that. From there, you can press "delete" to delete individual tracks or whole playlists.

The posted link is waaaaay too much work to delete music.

Wow thank you! I assumed there had to be someway to do that cause it just doesnt make sense not to but nobody was answering my question. I didnt bother reading the car manual cause the chances of actually finding the answer to any car question in there is pretty slim. Well at least if I ever want to switch to a bigger hard drive I know how to now haha
