I got my new 2010 Lancer ES two weeks ago, but since new when it's cold, and I start releasing the clutch to engage first gear, there's a anoying click noise coming from the clutch. Is that normal?

 

2011 gts manual here. I think that this is a normal noise. In general the MT on this car seems to make a fair bit of noise. Nothing alarmingly loud, but things I have noticed are: a click on occasion when disengaging clutch between 1st and 2nd gear, it doesn't enjoy being thrown in a gear lower than the speed can handle even if you never disengage the clutch (I think this is fairly normal, usually makes a *clunk*), it is whiney. It whines in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th much like an old civic if you arent feeding it gas while slowing down (which you can't really do, so I tend to be the car in nuetral opposed to downshifting), in any gear when going over 42mph there is a faint whine. It hasnt gotten worst over my first 5,000 miles, but if you are concerned like I might one day be, take it to the dealer.
