Considering buying..insurance question

Hey guys. Newly licensed here, saw an ad for a 09 GTS, and was wondering what State Farm insurance would classify it as. Their site is down now, and cannot get a quote..is it considered a sedan or a sports car? Thanks

I bought a 2009 GTS the day after I turned 18, had my license about 1-yr and 8-months. Had state farm as my insurance and was paying $380/month (I don't know why I payed this, it was more than my car payment). Im pretty sure they considered it as a sport car at-least for me they did. I pay $190/month now with Nationwide, and I turn 21 next month. I'd call some agents from different insurance companies and ask how much it is.

Also, not sure if it matters but I live in Maryland.

Either way, Mitsubishi Lancer regardless of model is considered a "Sports Sedan" and if you are under 25 your insurance rates are going to be high if you go with a legit insurance company (USAA, Geico, State Farm, Progressive, ect...) I currently have a Lancer ES and was paying $240 monthly when I first got it last year (I was insured with USAA because of military). I just switched to Geico and am paying about $138 monthly now. I just did an insurance quote recently with Geico for a 2008 evo X GSR and they wanted about $370 monthly.
I am 22, with a clean record, and have never filed a claim (knock on wood). and I live in between Baltimore and DC.
@Bmoresauter13- we have some of the highest rates in the nation aside from california. I'm originally from GA and did a quote for my hometown, it would have been 98 dollars a month for full coverage.... This was with the company that was charging me $240 a month.

Basically the insurance companies make sure you can't get an EVO regardless of model until you're 25. If you're making a ton of money though from a good job than you are pretty much set though.
