transaxle thunk when shifting 1-2 under hard acceleration

Whats up guys. I got a 11' gts 5spd manual. And ive noticed that when im full throttle in 1st and take the rpms all the way tp 6k, and i shift to second i get a thunk on the front end when letting out the clutch. Im not dumping the clutch, and i do shift fast when accelerating fast obviously. What is the problem? The only way it seems to not do it is if i shift very slow aka granny shift. Is this bad for the transaxle or is this normal for a transaxle being under heavy load? and how much damage can this cause from this if this not good? And also any reccomendations would be useful.
