from what I know from other engines is all an underdrive pulley does is slow down the assessories aka altinator, water pump, powersteering pump, and a/c but u only really need that if your running high rpms to save wear and tear on those. if these engines are different please let me know

if you are changing your crank pulley, you do not need to change your timing belt. if the pulley is smaller or larger than your factory one, then you will most likely have to change your belts. Most good aftermarket crank pulley kits will come with instructions saying what belts to use if they need to be changed.

FYI the point of the aftermarket pulley kits are to help the engine alleviate parasitic drag from all the accessories like your a/c, alt. etc..

Wait I'm confused you said I will not need to change timing belt but then you said I do? I'm getting mine from cosmo racing seems legit they are very helpful and think they said I will have to change my belt and I'm guessing would be thd timing belt, and I'm thinking it going to be difficult to change and time the belt am I right?

Your timing belt doesn't ride on the under drive pulley. The timing belt rides on a sprocket under the plastic timing cover. The under drive pulley is attached to the crankshaft on the outside and your serpentine belt rides on it.

That's it. Take off your serpentine belt and remove the crank bolt. An impact makes life a lot easier.

How do you take the belt off? And then put new crank on and the smaller belt done?

If your tensioner is like the Evo, you stick a 3/8 squared end of a ratchet in the hole and turn clockwise to take tension off the belt. Slip the belt off the crank pulley. Use a 1/2 drive impact and stick the square end in the crank bolt and back it out. Pull off the crank pulley. I have no idea what size belt you would need to use for that new pulley.

It's not even close to the Evo...the 4G69 is similar to the 4G63 in that regard, but the 4G94 is quite different...
