So my friends and I are always trying to one up each other on how loud our exhausts are, but I really want to show them up.. Right now I just threw a JDM muffler tip on it because I had it laying around, but I was wondering what all I should do to make it really loud. I was thinking about getting either a K&N typhoon short ram or an Injen. I only want to spend like $400. Any ideas?

there are many versions of this device, sure to be louder than any of your buddys!

 

You want it real loud get full 3" exhaust from the manifold back with no cats and no mufflers just a tip lol it will be VERY loud and probably cost you alot of tickets not to mention fuel mileage and loss of power with so little back pressure. But why the hell you want it real loud??? I prefer sound quality over decibels. I say get a good sounding exhaust then get a sound system that will blow there exhaust away.

 

If you want the loudest possible setup for cheap I suggest you run with open end filter and just take off your whole exhaust system. It can't get any louder than that unless you drill a bunch of big holes in your hood

what kind of exhaust do you have on now? cause i have a straight pipe that will bolt right up to a turbo xs exhaust that will blow you friends exhaust away

I have a SR*S full stainless steel exhuast for a 2002-2007 Lancer ES/LS/OZ that is 2.5" that goes to a 4.5" tip for sale. If interested send me a PM. I also have headers and when combined, that setup will be extremely loud...

Just traded in my Lancer today and have no need for the headers and exhuast.
