Hey guys first thread here.

I just got me a 2008 Lancer GTS few weeks ago. it has the navigation and fosgate system and i got a few question if someone can answer them for me please.

1.The small black box is the amp right? Unless something else goes under the drivers seat,I think it is but im not 100% sure.

2.If it is I want to install a new 12" sub(250W rms) to it because the last owner took the oem one out. Can I install an aftermarket sub to it? I looked for the old wired that connected to the last sub but it looks like he took it with him too.

3.If I can would it be good enough or should I get another amp, Im only planning to install that one sub and I heard that amp has about 710W.

4. What would I need,Any help would be great,some pics or videos would be great too.Thank you

 

Hey Kas, I have an 08 as well. It should be a 650W 4channel amp. I replaced the sub because mine was blown when I got the car, its fine to replace, just need wires ^.^ ; For the AMP I want to replace mine just to get a little more sound because I need to have the radio around 20 to hear it. Some ipod songs kick hard at that volume so its not the speakers. But it should be simple swaps. You cannot add another sub to the stock AMP just an FYI.
