Hopefully someone can help me.

I bought my car used, and noticed after I got it that the driver's side (right hand side where I live) knee air bag panel is not flush with the lower kick panel. See pics attached.

I enquired from the used car dealer where I bought the car, and they said that's how it's supposed to be and nothing's wrong with it. I don't believe them, and want them to fix it if it's in fact not supposed to be like this.

Could any of you say if this is in fact how it is on the Lancers? If not, I'd be grateful if you could post a couple pics from your car of how it's supposed to be, so I can show them as proof of their BS and have them fix it?
