Knee Air Bag Rattles/Removal

I've read a number of threads where people say the knee airbag can rattle causing a sound which makes it seem like there's a rattle behind the instrument cluster. As much as I've seen people talk about this knee air bag rattle... I have no idea how to fix it!

How do you remove the knee airbag? Where to you place foam tape to get rid of the rattles?

You have to pull some of the lower dash off to see it. Climb under there and it is pretty obvious. I put felt on the tabs that hooked the cover to the airbag and this took care of the rattle. When you have it apart, just tap around and you will see where the rattle is.

Thanks... that helps. I saw the plastic tabs that go around the metal tabs on the air conditioner. I'll try putting felt on them.

Is it hard to take the lower panel off?

It has been a little while but I believe there are a couple of screws and then it pops off.
