So i was thinking of turboing my 02 lancer. then i was thinking of evo swap. But evo being awd and lancer is fwd seems like a really big headache. but then i thought of an srt 4. both are fwd, srt4 already comes with a turbo so no need for piston upgrades or anything besides fuel pump maybe and a custom exhaust maybe( I don't think a dual exhaust would look good on a lancer). I won't need to put a rear differential or get a headache. I'm not much of an expert on swapping engines but I thought an srt 4 swap might be a bit less of a headache than a 4g63 swap. But yeah, I want to hear people's opinion. Is this a good idea? I personally think it can make a decent sleeper, kind of.

 

if you get a bell housing, or entire transmission for a FWD 4G6 engine, like from a 4g64 (3g 2000-2005 eclipse gs), or 4g69 (04-06 lancer ralliart, or 4g 2006+ eclipse GS) you can mate a F5M42 gearbox to a 4G63T Evo engine...you don't need to convert it to AWD if you're only swapping the motor...


I'm pretty confident swapping an SRT-4 motor and trans would be a nightmare, not to mention it would probably be far more costly...
