Needing help

Okay so today i made a trip into town to the mall to pay some bills, parked then went about 3-4 miles down the road to find out my car was having problems taking off and i noticed some steam coming from under the hood and my temp gauge was maxed out. So i find out that my upper radiator hose was unclamped and pulled off somehow. I made my way to get coolant and fileld it up and it hasnt had a problem with cooling the engine since. So now when i drive my lancer (standard/maunal) when i take off the car likes to kind ob bog down and then take off hard with an intermittent throttle pulse that pushes it literally every 2 seconds. Yes i counted. I checked all of my fluid levels and discomnected the battery if it was a cpu problem but it still does this pulse with the power loss. The idle is funny now too it almost sounds like it has a miss. If you need any videos or anything to further help diagnose this it would be great. Thanks

You may have blown the head gasket...I would check your compression.

And i don't have any smoke or any extra vapor coming out of the exhaust. Does this seem like a vacuum issue or a fuel issue? At some point when that car is warm id i push half way on the gas itll be choppy but work it's way to 6k rpm. It doesn't take more than 2-3 seconds to reach.

Could be misfiring from bad head gasket

As of now i'm looking to see if the local part stores do loaners on the compression test gauges. Ill have the results by as late as this coming tuesday. If so should i try to rebuild it being me and someone else who has fair experience with it or head somewhere to get it done. Ive been considered dropping a new or used motor in it so that might be an option. Or just get me a nice little gas friendly car and save up for my evo lol. Too many choices here.
