Any advice for a new driver?

I recently acquired a 2004 Lancer ES 5-speed manual with the 4G94 SOHC MFI. She's great and has been with my family for a while now, it was my sister's car that my Father bought her a little after her receiving her licence. The only issues are warped rotors, SRS light (Getting diagnosed tomorrow, will post an update.), gearbox or clutch synchro problem possibly even a shift fork (Doesn't go into 2nd from 3rd without first slotting it in 1st then down to second, all with the clutch engaged). Throttle also cuts out I found out recently at full throttle, I'm going to buy some throttle body spray and hope that works, if not I'll loosen the tension on the throttle wire. Unfortunately, the car has fallen victim to scam mechanics and auto electricians because my sister doesn't really know much about cars, and understandably had to rely on the "wisdom" of these Tafe educated fools. However the positives are; it's running on Kings coilovers, and there's no rust on the chase, only a bit on the bonnet. The colour for anyone wondering is Mystic Blue Pearl, and she still has the original spoiler with a brake light.

The rotors are probably for sure my fault, I won't go into it but everything else about the car preforms amazingly. It was staying at good operating temperatures throughout the drive, steering and suspension felt great, the car was agile, and responsive. You can really can tell that this car has stood the test of time quite well. There is a lot of unexplainable sentimental value that I hold for this car, and it's position between my sister and late father, it's everything. I would hate for some bull**** artist mechanic or auto electrician to rip me off, or put ****ty quality fluids in it. I only use Ampol 98 Super Unleaded, nothing else, no Mobil from 7/11, **** Shell and BP right off. I'm very **** about the fluids, this is where I'll loose a lot of people but I go as far as to putting in OEM DiaQueen power steering fluid in my car, and I don't think it's horrible, I think it's horrible to neglect the things you love. If I was to hurt my car it'll be like accidentally kicking my little dog because he's between my legs like a ********.

Note: No not most mechanics are bums, just some and I really need help identifying good ones also. Like the reason why I'm taking my Lancer to that Auto Electrician because I've done some research and they've been around since 1979 and have good reviews on five plus websites I looked at. Real bad negative comments stopped around a year ago for that business. So yeah, if you work in the automotive industry, I'm not saying you're an *******, just the percentage of them that pray of uneducated and ignorant people.

Edit: Just reading other peoples post, and just knowing what the Non-Evo community of Lancer owners is like. Let me just make it clear that no, I don't want an Evolution, I like my 2004 Lancer CH face lift just fine, I love all aspects of the car's looks already, and I'm not trying to pretend to be something, that I'm too broke to be. Don't be that guy, you're not that guy, stop ruining perfecting good cars as it is.
