Disabling DRLS on 2008+ Lancer

okay heres what I did,

you are going to need these supplys,

2 40 amp releys
wire Cutter/strippers
proper fittings
Zip ties
wire, About 2 feet.
1 hr max time lol

YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT 2 WIRES IN EACH HEADLIGHT

I took the Blue Wire going to the parking light the little amber blub or led you have and spliced it, the I cut the red/white wire going the the lowbeam. heres the Diagram below so you know what im talking about. Very Simple. this cut out all of my lights, when I turn the switch 1 time it puts the drls on along with the parking lights, 2 click is full lights, and fogs are the same..... time for HIDS!

the black box is the back of the reley

cool man, you figured that out yourself?

hopefully they should work with the HID's. I don't see why it wouldnt if they are already de-activated without HID's.

From my understanding, you will still have the HID flicker problem if you just put power the parking lights and you don't turn the switch 2 full clicks. Turning the switch to parking lights is gonna be exactly the same as if you don't have any relays installed.

But of course, this problem is easily solved if you don't use the parking lights only feature (quite a few people like this feature so I wanted to point that out).

But good job man. Easy way to disable DRLs!

I wish some one would figure out how to disable the DRL's and be able to use just your parking lights when you want to. I miss being able to do that, oh well glad I found this because I was just going to splice into my parking lights for my hid's.

you can still use your parking lights when the car is off and parked. But when its on with this way that I bypassed, its like the DRLS so the hids Flicker in postion 1, but not 2 so its all good
