What progress? The 4G94 has been around since 2002, it's been 8 years and for the most part, nothing has changed since I got rid of my Lancer 3 years ago. The same mods are being made by the same people.
It's spelled "lose" not "loose", I guess that's what those in the biz call a backfire. Sure you weren't asking my opinion, but I stated it, just as you stated your own. When you have a fundamentally flawed rationale for your opinion, some people may just call you on i.t

yeah the same mods are being made for the same reliable daily drivers! the same mods are being made for the stock internals.. but theres unlimited possibilities for custom fabrication and bullet proof bottom ends! theres people in america that have made close to 400hp on the 4g94.. thats called progress considering when i bought my lancer 5 years ago people on this very site swore to me that our lancers would never hit more than 300hp and there was nobody that actually had.

oh and thanks for the spell check! i dont know what i would do without you.. and from all the posts ive read of yours, it seems like your the only person trying trying to call people out on theyre opinions. opinions arent facts and it would be "flawed" for some know it all that hasnt even owned a lancer for 3 years to call someone out on an opinion! how can you possibly call out an opinion?? that whole statement is "flawed"..

Amby only speaks with logic and reason, many of his posts are not calling people out but trying to amend users unorthidox dreams and ideas for their vehicle.

We all know anything is possible with unlimited money and custom fabricating so in saying much has changed in that retrospect is a cop out in my eyes.

many of the guys overseas who have built high hp lancers do it because owning an evo would cost them what a $130 000 car would cost us here.

So for them to buy a lancer for $40-45 000 and spend another 10-20 thousand on custom one off upgrades they still come out way ahead.

Being in north america its much diffrent and spending 10-20 grand on custom one off parts on a lancer is just plain retarded when you can have an evo for less then the networth of your lancer + its one off upgrades.

many times we've seen senseless people come here and dream the big dream, talk like they've read it all and know oh so much. But when it comes time to actually make things happen, they never do, they fold and were left with a big I told you so!!...

most recient comes to mind is the kid who wanted to do the v8... no v6 twin turbo...awd...w/e... swap in 6 months or something.. only to send 3 cars to the scrap yard in the end and accomplish nothing.

It's taken years for people to get to nearly 400 HP and for the most part, it's either shops or people with very close ties to shops that are doing this. They're simply turning up the boost, nothing more. The bottom end of the Lancer isn't bulletproof, even with forged rods and pistons. Due to the fact that it's essentially a bored out 4G93, there's only so far you can go before the block itself becomes an issue.
I find your entire second paragraph hilarious. You're calling me out for "calling you out" over your opinion.

This.
That kid was awesome, I think he originally wanted to do a V6/V8 swap and then it turned into swapping the entire Mustang drivetrain into his Lancer using two jackstands and no mechanical experience in 3 months for under 3000$.
