true i forgot that. and then at the point you would be looking at fenders for the lights to fit and also then bumper to fit the fenders and hood. lot of work for little gain.

i actually think it would be kinda cool to do a evo front end conversion.. ive wanted to try this for a long time.. it would be like a wide body front end on a lancer.. it would look kinda like a drag car..

Except that the back wouldn't be wide so it'd look completely unbalanced. Moreover, it's be a poser car.

i get the same opinion every time i mention this. im not talking about for auto x.. but more of a drag car.. for drag there would be benifits. take for example a lot of the drag civics, they have wider front ends so they can fit big *** slicks up front providing better grip, aerodynamics and more down force. im thinking functional not visual.. so im afraid your very wrong when you say "poser car". and if you would like to get technical about it arent we all just a bunch of poser evo's?? bahahahahahaha

The cars you're talking about also have 500+ WHP and need massive slicks just to avoid spinning through the first three gears. The amount of power Lancers are capable of doesn't warrant a wider front end. Big tires in the front actually inhibit aerodynamics because there is more tire in the air. It would be a poser car. Claiming that you need a wider front end for traction when you're only making 200 WHP is just silly. You'd still be limited in how wide you could go anyways since you'd have the stock Lancer track meaning you'd have to worry about inboard clearance and offset (unless you want to replace bearings every weekend).

AGAIN FOR THE THIRD TIME.... I WAS TALKING ABOUT A DRAG CAR!!! NOT A 200HP DAILY DRIVER!!! And overseas there are plenty of 4gxx motors pushing well over 500hp. it can be done with the right amount of money.. you just keep thinking inside the box and ill keep thinking outside of it. anything can be done when you put your mind to it and have propper funding.

And do you drive a drag car? Are there any american 4G94s (since this is the motor in the Lancer) running 500+ WHP or enough power that standard slicks aren't enough? I'm thinking inside the box, I simply don't have my head in the clouds.

no but i would love to! considering the progress the 4g94( i know thats the engine in the lancer) has made in the last two years, its definitely gonna be able to see those kind of numbers in the near future! stop trying to prove me wrong... you loose!! i wasnt asking for your opinion in the first place. i was just simply stating my own.
