mp3 in 2008 gts

I am the new proud owner of a 2008 gts, but it didnt come with an owners manual. I guess the dealership lost it. Anyway, I setup my phone for bluetooth and I noticed that there was a symbol for mp3 player, I have an Iphone and would like to play the music i have on it to play through the bluetooth, is this possible? thanks.

p.s. this is the stock radio system

Bluetooth audio is a 2010+ feature for lancers that have FUSE.

for 2008-09 you can only play audio from an ipod/phone or mp3 using the auxiliary component in the cubby below the HVAC controls. You use a RED/WHITE component to 3.5mm cable.

Then you need to hold down the CD/MP3 button till the radio display shows AUX.

... Can be bought everywhere for 1-10$.

If that's the case then you only need to remove the head unit and draw some cables.
I've made a video of it here on the forums.

Not exactly. he'll need something like this.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/eForCity...pter&cp=1&lp=2
And he should need to go into the back of the unit if he has the RCA ports in the cubby. At least the US market has the RCA ports in the cubby.

Ill get a pic of mine or an example of it later.

Oh and the button you is actually the CD/MP3 button.
