Lancer ES Sport Key Fob
Sorry if this isn't the correct place to post this. I have a 09 Lancer ES Sport. We were only given one key fob, and I don't like not having a spare since this car is a keyless start. If it's lost then we'd be in a pickle. I called 3 dealerships today; one quoted $440, the other 2 were $350. Are these key fobs available online, and the bigger question is, if so, how easily are they programmed?
When doing a search I found a lot of the key fob plastic bodies with "NO ELECTRONICS INSIDE", so just a shell. It wasn't until I typed the part number that I found on the back of the key fob into Google that I found anything useful. One result I found was for a key fob on eBay for $99.99, but it said, "Only buy this if you are a locksmith."
