Does anyone know the size of this shift rod? Some sources say 8-ish others say 10x1.25, and I just need to know for sure before I buy a new knob. This is for a 2011 automatic CVT lancer GT. The shift knob screws right off. Attached a picture for reference.
My Lancer's shift knob is M8x1.25, but I've been told it was M10x1.25 and had to use an adapter when the shift knob I bought didn't fit. Just to make sure and to avoid the potential headache, I recommend finding an 8x1.25 nut at a hardware store and screw that onto the shifter. If it fits, that's the right size.

Thank you so much! I made sure to order a knob that came with a few adapters, and yup, it was the 8!! Glad I didn't go with just the 10. Would've been a headache like you said!
Thanks for your reply I wasn't sure if this forum was very active or not so I appreciate you taking the time to answer

You're welcome! I do recommend joining some Lancer Facebook groups if you have an account, groups such as LancerNation, Lancer Society and the Mitsubishi Lancer Group. Using Facebook groups and these forums should definitely get you answers relatively quickly!
