Sound and security rolled into one. Remove seats to steal an amp? I doubt it.

I would spin it so you don't have to worry about passengers kicking your wires.

I've always installed my amps under my seats whenever possible. It's out of the way and always allows enough room for the amp to stay cool. Right now I have an amp under my passenger seat, and my power block and sirius tuner under my driver's seat.

that amp is much wider than it is longer, and the drivers side is a little cramped with it that way. I usually have the floor mat over the back of the amp too. In hind site I would have put it the other way, but I did it so I could get at the tuning controls easily. Should have thought ahead b/c I put the graphic EQ in the glovebox, so after my initial tune I use that to adjust anyway all well.

+1

In the S&S package they put the stock infinity amp under the driver's seat and its never had any problems, and I also really like the stealthy look of the under seat install.

I have an Alpine mono amp for my sub under my pasanger seat and an Alpine 4-channel under my passanger seat. They fit perfect and you can't see them unless you move the seats all the way forward.

I was on a budget, and already had one of the amps. If I had the money and didn't have an amp I would have probably gone with the Blaupunkt Class T amps.

Two things:

1) Looks okay but is there anyway you can move it further towards the front of the car or turn it around? That is way too easy for people to kick.

2) What kind of light is that? Pic, price, link?

Under the seat actually stays really cool. There's plenty of clearance from the top of the amp to the bottom of the seat, and all sides are open, so heat has no chance to build up.

Interesting amp location. I would think that'd create extra rattles. Dynamat that thing.
