How about the little flip-out change drawer thing by your left knee? It pops off to allow access to the fuse panel, you might be able to fit your remote switch in there.

it rattled loose the first time i put it up there, then i applied stud and bearing mount (industrial lok-tite) and have had no problems since...and as for the bass remote in the pop out change thing....thats a pretty good idea (imo) might have to try that one.
