Relocating head unit, need ideas

I was thinking about relocating my head unit down to the lower position in the dash and I was wondering what I should put in the void that will be left?

I can always put in a single din pocket or something like that, but I thought I'd ask you guys if you have any ideas...

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I put the mitsu sport gauges there, and my head unit down below. Sport gauges are very easy to install, and i have absolutely no background in this kind of thing. I actually found an easier way than what the instructions say. there is a gromet to the right of the glove box that allows you to get into the engine compartment, pop that out and feed your cables through there.

Thanks for the offer, but it's not really what I'm looking for.
Let's keep the ideas coming

I believe it would, the slots are all standard, but how it would look is another question all together.

That's what I was thinking. I'm not sure how a covered pocket would look there either. I guess there's only one way to find out...

If you are gonna spenda little money, I would go with this (or something like it). It looks reaaaally nice and those Mitsu gauges that come in the Evo MR look cheap as hell IMO.

Yesterday I just finished installing my relocation kit and reinstalled the h/u and put the modified gauge holder in place of the original... you could do a couple of things you could make up a back lite logo to cover up the spare DIN which is really cheap and easy to do or go the flip pocket that is shown for the suburu but so that it does not too look stupid and boring repaint a few pieces it does not have to be a out there sort of colour just a nice matt black looks good...

If I had plans to go FI, then I would definitely add some gauges like boost, egt, etc., but I just don't see the need to put any additional gauges in a NA car.

The only reason for the steering wheel to be on the wrong side of the car is so that I can drive on the wrong side of the road

I went to Mitsubishi and ordered the relocation kit it came with everything including the mounting brackets and new surrounds cost was only $60AUD and so very simple to swap out
