I have the x50 red... doesn't compare too well with the V1 but it does throw less non-police warnings so its nice. Though i'm having problems with mines and i sent it into escort, they fixed it and returned it in 3 weeks for some reason. But everyonce in a while i'm getting all 3 bands at full when i'm just driving through residential areas...

They work pretty well. I’ve been saved a couple of times from a ticket. I’ll sell you mine if you are interested.

Beltronics RX65 Pro hardwired, same as the 8500 X50, but a few extra bells.
i estimate its saved me well over $1000 at this point.

Your's is just out of calibration, mine was just wiggin' out and throwing false alerts all over the place. It still does it everyonce in a while, but i just restart it and its normally fine. Since mine wasn't warranty, and yours was ebay it'll cost 60$ to send it in, pay up front first. But legit they update the software, and recalibrate it no matter how perfect it is. So i mean it can't hurt to send it in.. just costs a lot. But i bought mines for 190$ used for 3 months so yea..

And yes its saved me from a couple tickets, but it also got me a ticket cause i had the hardwired system installed and no radar since it was at escort being fixed. I got pulled over for illegal tints, and he gave me a 250$ ticket for it. I managed to pull strings to get it waived, but the officer (sargent) called me up on my cell somehow and explained to me that radar detectors, though being legal, are discouraged. Cops think of it as another way to cheat them, which is true. I just need to rewire my hardwire and i need to find a new place to mount my radar, maybe take it apart and integrate it somehow? Who knows..
