Show me your bootie..
I was just fossicking around in the shed today and found the fiberglass sub box and surrounds that I made for the car over a year ago and then thought I have not seen too many R.A sound systems setups and what people have done for boot installs
So... come on guys show me your rear end

This is waaay down the list of things to do (being broke and busy sucks lol) but when I do put in a sub I saw something in Fast Fours or Autosalon, I forget which that was was really cool - Subwoofer box fitted into an empty case of Corona (or whatever beer you like). I think it was a 10" speaker, something like that. But the idea being, particularly for hatchbacks - if people can see in to the sub in the back, all they see is a cardboard box... having said that the people around where I live are more likely to break in and steal beer than a speaker... but it still looked really cool.
Just measure up and fit together a plywood box, cut a hole for the speaker in the Corona case etc. Looked sweet.
Oh and merry christmas and all the best for a happy and safe new year Chowetime!!

I just finished my own custom fiberglass box i'll post pictures soon of it in the car. I just have to finish my amp rack and then get the truck re carpeted. But i'll get the pic of it up the way it is soon.
I don't have my trunk finished yet... but I've currently got a 15" Kaption SPL sub in the trunk, gonna make a fiberglass shroud and also doing a trunk lid with a screen, some plexi and a pair of components.
For the rest of my install. I've got an Alpine IVA-D900 In-dash headunit, 5.6" Alpine headrest screen mounted in my rear armrest, an Arc Audio 400.4 high amp running my stock door speakers, Arc Audio 900.1D sub amp running the 15".
I also have 4 10" Treo Tsi subs which I'm debating whether to put into the lancer instead of the 15. If I do, I was gonna fiberlgass two enclosures and have 2 subs on each side of the trunk so that I could still have majority of the trunk floor and still fold down the rear seats.
I will post up pics as soon as I get more done in the trunk... just waiting for some nicer weather.
Pics of what I've done so far are at: www.creative-ego.ca/06lancer.html
Hope this helps,
Nick

Looks very good... see were you have the DVD player there is actually a specific relocation kit that you can use that replaces the factory one and it gives you a much more flusher finish... comes with all the nessicary brackets etc as well
but very nice job look forward to seeing more pics

I did that because I'm not 100% sure if that's where the DVD player will stay... it's just there for now. Plus I was lazy to order it up from Lancershop.
I might fiberglass it a little differently in the spring or If I decide to relocate it entirely i"ll put a guage pod down there (I'm not a fan of a-pillar guages).
Thanks for the compliments... I'll get some more pics up as soon as this weather turns out better.
