ipod lovers set-up??

i wanna change my stock cd player for one with a rear USB plug. I want to keep my 6 cd's changer working with the aftermarket cd player. Since im gonna listen to my ipod 95% of the time, i was wondering if you had any ideas of places i could make the usb wire come out or how i could set that up with a dock. Or maybe even control my ipod from my radio?

if it matters at all, i have a 2005 ralliart with the S&S option

You won't be able to keep the stock cd changer with an aftermarket headunit. At least not that I know of... the changer plugs into the amp under the driver's seat via a din cable.

As far as ipod headunits... I've got the Alpine IVA-X100 and love it... there are some newer units available from Alpine now... X305, etc... check their website... www.alpine1.com

As for where to locate the ipod/usb cable, most often it's in the glovebox because once you plug in your USB stick or ipod the headunit will control it and provide a charge (for ipod).

Hope this helps,

Nick

I plug my iPod into my Alpine headunit and then just set it in one of the cupholders.

I use a pioneer head unit, and i can scroll through my i pod on the deck. No problems.

the cd changer plugs in via din to the back of the radio. Mitsubishi does have an iPod adapter, but you may lose the changer.
