Crutchfield is definatly not a lot of $$$

Most of there pricing is very fair because they use a lot of refurbished product.

Sounds like you need to do some research on what you want. Personally, after installing way more headunits than I care to even think about, it is much nicer to have a direct plug in adaptor. The Alpine adaptor is like 30 bucks retail and you get all the controls on the radio instead of bumbling around with the Ipod.

Nice sig. I hope that was enough of an answer for you not wanting to look for yourself.

what's your price range? i just recently purchased an alpine hu....9780 i think with the ipod wire (extra $25). it's really great. you can search playlist, genre, artist, etc...right on the head unit. it charges the ipod also.

I recently purchased the Valor ITS-702W. It's a GREAT deal for the money. And it's perfect if you have an ipod. You can directly plus your ipod into the back of the headunit and then control the ipod from the headunit. It also charges the ipod!

I just got the Alpine CDA-9885 with the full-speed ipod cable and it rocks. As others said, all controls right on the HU and it charges the iPod at the same time. If you buy an alpine HU right now you should get the cable for free.

I would go with an alpine. Alpine is far superior as far as speed in getting what song you want.

There's an Alpine head unit that just came out last month that's specifically made for the iPod. Costs like $400. But, doesn't have a CD player. But, it is THE BEST head unit for iPod.

Yeah BB has them. for awhile they didn't and only circuit city had them. check out crutchfield because i think they do offer the ipod wire for free and it'll come with any brackets or install kit if needed.

Just go to BB and check out the Alpines. You really will love the full speed ipod cable and the Alpine unit.

I'm going to get in touch with you and we can talk about it some more if you'd like.
