What are the eyelids made of? I'm assuming it's not vinyl, or if it is, how do you recommend painting them?

Thanks!

They are made out of fiberglass...I ordered some myself(cost me an extra 30 to get them painted). But they look nice.

Yeah, I'd love to see a set of eyelids on either a thunder grey or a black. I'm intrested in getting a set.

If the eyelids are attached w/ double sided tape wouldn't they come off after washing the car?? Or is it stong enough?

I can get some pictures up pretty soon. I have washed my car both by hand and through an automatic carwash and they are still on. I was worried more about 80+ hwy speeds and them coming off. But the double sided tape seems to hold pretty tightly. Just get some good stuff. I will try to get pictures up tonight.

Dave - Just a small concern w/ the eye lids. Is there any light blockage w/ them? Do you have any pics w/ the headlamps on w/ the eyelids in place?

from the pics it doesn't really look like it would much. It may block your highs a little but I am just guessing from what I see in the pic.

They don't block any light. The are actually high enough up on the light that they don't block anything. But they do add a sharper cutoff to the top of the light. But in terms of being able to see they work fine for me.

Is there any concern about the tape letting go in the salt/snow and cold weather of winter?

Can't wait to see the eyelids on the thunder gray, I'd love a set for my black RA!!!

Sorry, I will try to get pics up as soon as possible. I have been at school the last few weeks until long after the sun goes down finishing my senior design project. I will try to get them up this weekend, as I am going home and will not have a lot to do.
