Sucks when you come home and find this...

Well, after work one day I was saying goodbye to a lady friend and as I was walking back inside through the garage look what I noticed. Don't know when it happened, either at work or at school while it was sitting in the parking lot. There was a black smudge too, most likely from the bumper, already rubbed that off.

It just makes me mad because whoever hit me didn't bother leaving a note. Now that I think about it, why would they? I just expect the same things I would do from other people, guess that doesn't work.

Anyways, has anyone gone to a body shop for paintless dent removal? If so, any estimates on how much an indentation like this would cost?

Damn dude that sucks a fat one!!! I had the same thing happen to my rear door on the driver's side and I could not get the red paint off, but I will be looking into getting the dents out this week! Planning on getting my whole car repainted once I get my new body kit on and everything. Drop by my Car Domain page to see what I'm talking about. The link is in my sig! Hope you can get it fixed man! I still wanna rip the person's head off, but it won't happen seeing as how I moved back to NC about 2 weeks ago! PEACE!!!!

Yeah man when I first saw it I felt like my head was going to explode! But I've calmed now and just look forward to getting it fixed.

Another thing I've thought about, Ding King

Anyone have this?

Ah man, I know how you feel about that.. somebody caught my front passenger side door, dented the front quarter panel and put a nice dent along that accent line on the door. Ding King might take yours out, but it can't handle stuff on accent lines. Mine's gonna run me $1200 before insurance takes most of that out (apparently if somebody hits your car, whether its moving with anyone in it or not, its still collision :P), but expect somewhere in the $500 range to pop it out and repaint the panel.

i remember once a few years back i was parking my old car at college (a 93 cougar) and I accidently smashed the ever living crap out of somebodies rear end... really smashed it in there good too. I completely panicked and luckily nobody was around so I just left and parked in another parking lot... best part of all, my car was fine hehe.

Related to this post though, I went to a ocal dude to see about getting some dings out of my car and he gave me a $125/panel painting fee plus whatever labor it took to pop out dents so i was looking at a grand plus but i was also wanting to do the entire car... it's got some scratches on it from the previous owner (ex rental car)

Ow man, that sucks!

I've used Dent Wizard before, they did a great job. Someone opened their car door into the side of my car and left a nice round dent in my left rear door. Cost me $90 to fix and it looks good as new.

hey you guys know damn well you would do the same thing if you were in my position so no getting high and mighty on me... poor college kid + anonymous person's dented car / running the hell away = scot free with no financial problems or nasty insurance claims and you all know it. Anyways, dcorn, think about what you just said. You seriously want me to die? How will my wife feel knowing she has to raise a son on her own because her husband died a slow and painful death. While we're at it, let's hope she gets raped and killed and my child is abducted and scorched in a horrible car fire...

real mature man... really mature...

man that sux. when i got my car it was brand spankin new. 4 miles on the odometer. i had it for two weeks and ne day i went to school to grab a book. i was only there for like less than 10 min! i walk back to my car and a lady says hey someone hit your car. i was like what?! and she gave me a plate number and said it was a silver car. anyways the person hit my rear bumper on the passengers side. i didn't leave a dent but it scratched the paint off some. you can see the gray primer underneath. not noticable unless u know about it. good thing i have a thunder grey lancer. but yea i was pissed. probably a chick drivin a silver civic. man i wish i found that person.

In a post about someone asking for help because some idiot dinged his car and didn't face up to it, you decide to post your own recounting of being the idiot and not facing up to it. First, that's bad taste even to mention that in this post. Second, that was really stupid back then to have damaged someone else's car and run away. And third, you actually accuse that everyone here would be just as dishonest as you.

And you accuse others of being mature while you interpret someone else's words more literally than a 2-year old. Just leave, dude.

dude, put a dolley behind the part that is the lowest (the part inside the trunk) then take a hammer and LIGHTLY tap the outside edges of the dent, if done correctly that dent looks like it should just pop out. dont pound the hell out of it, just light taps. make sure u put something strong that will push the dent out on the insde of the trunk.
