I just pulled mine right off with wd-40 and my hands and used a paper towel to clean the rest of the adhesive off. I was afriad to use goo off because you can strip your paint.... I didn't need goo off after all though...

lmao, i think WD-40 is more harsh than goo gone. Goo gone works good, but WD-40 works really good. the key is to use a blow dryer, that was you pull most of the adhesive off with the letters and it doesn't stay on the car

a blow drier, credit card (or something like it) and turtle wax bug & tar remover... it looks GREAT and no worries of ****in up the paint! it looks WAXED when u wipe it off!

goo gone can mess up the clear coat and paint, dont use it...

take a hammer and chisel...then chip away at it. Don't worry if you make holes in your trunk...those will be speed holes. Hope this helps

If you look at the dates closely you'll notice this thread was bumped from the dead. Meaning somebody either used the link I posted in the other thread, or meaning somebody actually used the search function. to the guy who took this thread out of the dead ones instead of making a new thread.

Try your best to stay away from lighter fluib, wd-40, gasoline, or anything similar. There are far to harsh on the paint. Just get a simple tar and bug remover or adhesive cleaner. Either one will work good. Also, you may end up with a few little scratches in the clear coat when you get done, just buy some rubbing compound and a polishing mit. Wash the car, go over the scratches until the trunk looks as good as the rest of the car. Then you can hit it with some wax.

No they don't on the trunk. On my 2004 the diamond in the front has holes behind it, sucks.

I used fishing line to get the letters off then soaked the adhesive in lighter fluid and got it off with my hand, then I just waxed it and it looks awsome!

Another way that I thought about was to just pull the letters off, drive to a car wash and use the high-pressure rinse to blast the adhesive off. I did that with the dealership sticker (twice because they seem to think they need to put a new one on anytime they see the car)
