Exclamation fix a flat won't come off rim

Recently I reluctantly used fix-a-flat on a tire, after replacing the tire at my local tire retailer my white rim was covered in fix-a-flat . I then went home to attempt to remove the substance with three different products- Goo Gone, 3M adheisive remover, and Gunk's Tar and Bug remover, all failed. I'm not sure what else to use without damaging the wheel's painted surface. Anybody w/ suggestions would be greatly appreciated b/c rolling around w/ dirty white shoes bugs the perfectionist inside me.

Try using something with ammonia and let it soak for awhile.

How hard is it on( does it feel like Solid? or still pliable)- heat might work, or you could use the Gel paint remover, but those might eat off paint too.

The stuff you mentioned are pretty mild adhesive removers.

I know because Fix-a-Flat is an adhesive. To answer the last Q, it's a very thin layer coating on the rim.

I would try a heat gun to see if it gets viscous enough to remove it.

a hard plastic scraper to pull off the goo, while you use the heat gun.
