Thanks guys. I think im going to reconsider. As far as the turbo im looking at that for late spring. Anyone got any ideas where I could get projector lenses for my stock headlights. I wanna do an hid conversion but I want to have the projector housing.

Factory HID's are the brightest > ANY aftermarket kits.
If you meant "brightest" by "the most colorful", then it's true. Factory HID's only use 4100k D1/D2 bulbs which is pure white (a bit yellowish before the color-shift) and no bluish tint whatsoever...
why? because 4100k is, in fact, the brightest, (same color temp as the sunlight, NOT thermal temp), hence provides the best illumination, and it's proven that only 4100k light outputs cause less/no fatigue, hence safer, and hence legal. (try stare at those blue/purple light beams for a while and see for yourself)
Also reason why aftermarket "blue/purple" HID's may SEEM brighter to you is because human eyes are more sensitive to blue lights. Try park a car with factory HID's and a car with aftermarket 6000k+ hid side by side, and see for yourself that the factory HID light beams will COMPLETELY overlap the 6000k+ lights.
As for the projectors + aftermarket HIDs = legal, again, couldn't be more wrong.
Again, factory HID's are legal because, other than the low standard 4100k bulbs, the housings (both reflectors and/or projectors) are designed specifically for the xenon D2S or D2R optics, so that the light beams will not blind any oncoming drivers. (D2R's -> reflector HIDs: IS300, G35Coupe, these bulbs are even more refined to reduce glare, thus may not be as bright as D2S, but still ownz joo)
aftermarket HID kits are ILLEGAL regardless which color temp (even 4100k) because our stock reflectors (or certain cars have halogen projectors) are NOT designed for xenon optics. No matter what kinda xenon bulbs you put in our housings (D2S,D1S,D2R, rebased, super high color temp such as 8000K~12000K), it'll cause severe bleeding above the cutoff line thus cause glare, blinding other drivers. Therefore, illegal.
If you think putting some projectors in there will eliminate this problem, buuuuuuuuuuzz, wrong. Most of the aftermarket projectors are poorly designed (choice/quality of lenses/reflectors/flip shield) as compared to factory-select projectors. They produce even worse light output than your stock reflectors. And shoving xenon capsules in there will not only hinder the true HID performance, but also causes tremendous glare/bleeding.

yeah but to save yourself the hassle of having to retouch the cracked fiberglass and bondo from the custom fit work, I would rather tell my customers to just do a full conversion rather than a half conversion especially on daily driver vehicles closing the hood with slight pressure in due time that fiberglass/bondo will crack and will require work+paint. Same goes with the pressure areas of a fender and front bumper where bolts are located. Thats why most cars with transformer style conversions end up becoming trailer queens...because it costs so much to have to rework all the custom bondo/fiberglass work from daily driving.
God you guys are killing my hope here im not going to the conversion to the evo 8 lights cuz that sounds like hella work. Should I go with an hid conversion or do you think I would be better off without them?

I have stock head light housings on my car and will be getting my 4300k phillips hids and ballasts on friday. once I get them installed and aligned I will post a review and pics and then you can judge for yourself if that will make it any easier for you.

Why is that everyone seems to be downing my car and telling me I should get an evo. I dont want an evo sorry if I get flammed for this but im happy with just a regular lancer es and Im happy with what im doing to it. Instead of bashing people and telling them they are noobs why dont you just help them and give them advice instead of bashing them and making them not want the f***ing car
its ok dude, some people just don't understand, just ignore them, I mean come on the guy telling you to buy an evo drives a civic, wtf is with that, you have no room to talk.
