Question Painting engine parts

I did a search and did not come up with what I was hoping for. I know people out there have done it and have writen on it, I just can't seem to find it. I want to know if it is possible to paint headers. I know they can be powder coated but do they get too hot for a high temp paint??? If anyone has tried this, please let me know or point me to whatever thread I missed. Thanks

Would it work for painting the Mitsubishi text and logo on the engine itself?

Yeah. I'm not sure what color. Red for the Mitsubishi diamond and black for the text. A friend of mine took off the plastic shield over the valve cover on his '02 SE-R Spec V and spray painted it red leaving the chrome Nissan logo and text untouched. It looked pretty cool when he finished.

what temp paint would you guys recommend getting. I bought pgmikes old headers and I wanted to paint them black. I'm hoping the black will mask the fact that they have the version 1 dents in them.
