Carbon Creations: Front CF Splitter for our Lancer

I don't believe this is a repost. I searched and all I found was Sir Lancelot asking about the CF Fenders.

Carbon Creations creates a bunch of CF stuff. I went to the 'Lancer 02-03' parts for their page and they got some nice stuff. Only shady part is, most of it is universal stuff and in the pics they DO NOT show the products on our car. For example it says "OEM CF HOOD', but they show a pic of a hood on an Eclipse.

But they got this CF splitter that goes across the bottom of the front bumper. They say it's 'universal' but u think it'll fit. U guys think it'll look good?

Ok cool. I just emailed them about the splitter. I'll keep u guys updated on their reply.

As far as getting a splitter...I dunno, it would add some extra protection if I go up an incline. U guys prolly sayin, "wut's the point? It'll get ruined anyway"....well other than that reason, I like the way they look. Compliments nicely w/ black headlights and/or CF Hood. I don't think it's considered rice yet. These are fairly new, well 2 me they are. It's not like those giant aluminum wings.

No, it's for downforce! Please, do some HW people! The force of the air pushes the front of the car down, holding the front tires on the ground.

To illustrate, one Evo owner had a splitter rip off of his car because the amount of downforce it created was greater than the bolts could hold.

well that eclipes in the pic has a pretty custom front bumper and i doubt they made it specifically for that. so it should be able to fit a lancer pretty good.

Just to correct you petey, that is just a full cf lip that carbon creations make for that car. The side are painted and that would explain the cf center of it. So it would be very easy for them to shape that cf splitter to fit this because they make them both.

you sure about that? it looks like a totally seperate piece to me. the splitter is just the very thin piece under the lip.

The lip on the Eclipse is this lip
which is made by carbon-creations and in the picture here:
the lip has the sides painted and the cf splitter installed. The center of the lip is left unpainted, showing the cf.

well I learned sumthin. Thanks blacksheepdj. Suweet than~! Tt has even more advantage for our Lancers since it's FWD. I'm thinkin of gettin this now . I don't like that I have to punch into my front bumper to mount it on . And it's kinda pricey.

Alot of the aero sites have been so over stretched that mis labeling is rampant.. and products on the model page are not even appropriate. Its a shame. Universal should work but lots of work and may not look right.
