Unique Idea?

Well I got a rather nice present from my friend for christmas. He got me the Logitech Z-5300e 5.1 Channel THX surround sound system. it consists of 5 speakers + a sub which sounds AWESOME in my room. But it struck me, what would happen if i fiberglassed this setup into my lancer (devil horns pop out).

Good idea or no?

There is a little thing on the box that says, this system is for home computer use only... or at least there should be one. I would not do it. Too risky...

If you know a lot about audio and electronics I'd try it. But aint your car all f'd up? Do you really want to be bumpin down the road attracting attention to you jacked up front end? lol

That's BS if it says that... speakers are universal positive and negative connections. With a correct power supply there is no reason it wouldn't work and I see no risk in it since I know Kareem can do the fiberglass properly.

I have the frame getting pulled right now, should be done in a few days. I got a new hood and gonna work on fixing my front bumper. Then in the end respray the whole front end. Should be done my the 1st week of january hopefully. So it'll cost me around $400 total instead of paying $500 and having my insurance shoot up or pay $5000 to have the body shop do it themselves.

i say dont do it until you rae back on your feet more, plus just get car speakers and subs again. leave the surround sound in your house so you have nice sound in both places. oh and youll probably jsut sell a week later lol.

surround sound in the car? meh, not worth it IMO, too hard to get a good image in every position, way to close the the speakers, and the 'home use only', the components aren't designed to be bouncing down the road, not nearly as rugged as ones designed for car use (that's mostly the sub and amp tho)

Don't House stereos run on different OMS? I personally think you should keep the house system for the house and your car system for your car. Just my opinion though.

yeah i'd bet they are mostly 8ohm speakers

besides thats just a rediculous idea. who in their right might would put those crappy *** speakers in their car.

if you want more speakers, get a deck with dual pre-amp outs, and get as many amps as your heart desires. you are TOTALLY headed the wrong direction when you are talking about computer speakers.... lmfao
