well go to www.uscomposites.com and find the CF or kevlar fabric you want. then start your project. it seems like a hard piece to cover, contact sirlancelot, he'll know what to tell ya.

you would have to make a mold out of the headlight. you could probably adhere carbon fiber directly to your headlight but would be really difficult. i probably would use crea sheet overlays which is kinda like a sticker for this job though.

raw twill is a bit hard to manipulate, although you could create the effect by using a CF vinyl which I guess is faux but it would get you the look and easy to cut into shape..

the only prob w/ vinyl is that he wants to put it in the headlight. the heat will cook the vinyl quick.

hmm.. I suppose your right, but perhaps a lacquer or a temper coat would suffice over the vinyl.

I tried to do the cf high heat vinyl on my headlight housings, but the intensity from the headlights began to shrink the material and started to look like crap. I even had a high temp clear coat over it and it wasnt working for me. So I had to go another route and use a composite material that is very pricey and hard to work with. I work with raw cf all the time, and it WILL NOT work inside the headlight. The thickness of the cf and resins will cause the headlight to be distort (?spelling) the way the chrome housing sits in the lens area.
I have cf partial housings on mine, because after I installed my HID's even the composite material couldnt stand the extreme heat.

Dont waste ur time, unless u dont mind going back and redoing the damn lights, trust me! once that vinyl begins to bake in, its harder than a nuns tit, and refuses to come off!

cf headlight in my mind is overkill.. when we start to wrap things it just gets poitless.. in that cf is to decrease weight not add pounds.. and its such a fashion statment these days... rofl i have a lot of cf to though.(hood reflectors, and spoiler.)
