Update pics: the cf is now resined *Pics*
simma down daniel son....
They actually fit back in the stock locations just fine. I have the pieces in the pics on page 1 installed in the car now... You can see the thickness of the cf in the pics I took of the scraps, you can see the pics of the cf on the stock pieces, you will see pisc of the stock pieces installed whe I get out of school. And dont try to talk like you know cf until you work with it first hand, it makes you sound ignorant...

i have worked with it and what your showing doesnt look like cf.
that stuff looks over 1/8th thick, no way could you possibly fit a radio back in with those overlapping, its just not possible, aftermarket radios barely fit with a din cage and trim ring.

i practiced on a bunch of scrap first. I figured out that instead of doing a single coat, I'd do a few. It ended up being 3 coats. I'd let each dry for 24 hrs, then the final one for 40hrs before handling it. I may even have it clear coated with PPG automotive clear in the summer? No sure yet though.
Lunatic you need to let up. This carbon kevlar looks awesome, very similar to what "the X" does at www.fibercation.com. I would do the same thing to my interior in an instant. BTW, tri-color paint scheme isn't gonna look too good...
