CF trunk HELP!!
im in cincinnati, Im tryin to keep it lookin clean so i dont really want to do the bungee cords, I was told to take one of the tension bars out, which worked. It slowed it down a lot but, the side that still had the tension bar connected seemed to be pulled up a little
You will NEED to take out both of the bars...If you leave just one in it will slowly pull that side up farther and farther. I had to do this last year when I got mine. The only thing is, is that there is nothing pulling the trunk down either so it just "sits" on the weather stripping on the inside of the trunk. Which in other terms means that it won't sit completely flush with the car but will be close. Hope that helps

I just got my car back from the body shop. The stock trunk fit perfect but the VIS was off. When the seams on the top and by hte taillights were perfect, the trunk wouldn't close because the bottom bowed in. In addition to washers on the latch, they pulled the rear deck and adjusted the hinges outward from there. It fits pretty good now and doesn't leak.
