Whats up guys,

I have a 2008 lancer es, I made it look like the evo inside and out. But I been having a problem with my trunk. When I go to open the trunk with the key not a fast key but a key with lock unlock trunk and panic, The trunk won't open, I hear a noise like its trying to open but doesn't. I replaced the latch on the trunk but still nothing. The new latch I bought doesn't come with a motor inside it so I had to use the old one but now Im thinking it might be the motor in the latch. Any Thoughts or ideas? The inside trunk switch on the driver side floor still works fine.

 

press the latch closed (with the truck open) then press the button on the remote. Does the latch open? If so your latch may have too much pressure and not properly aligned. If not, you need to take it apart and investigate.
