I guess imitation is the greatest form of flattery? Oh man I used to have an 03 yellow oz rally. I too at what time thought getting an evolution would never happen and thought the only route was to imitate one. So what did I do? I bought an evolution.

It looks nice but there is just something wrong about it. It's like your car is living a lie, it's trying to be something that it is not. Yes, the both cars came from the same gene pool but unfortunately your car has downs syndrom when it comes to speed.

I agree with everyone, I think your ride looks mint, inside and out, but gotta get rid of the badging. Better to leave everyone guessing, then to lead them believe your ride is something its not. The Sub is really nice. Good work on both.

agreed, makes you look like a wanabe ricer. Reminds me of a ford focus 4 door i see rocking "S-Type" badges all over including a windshild banner. (its a faded yellow also). plus im wondering why is there a dip below the middle of the hood, it looks like the hood and front evo 7 replica bumper dont fit right.
im my opinion, the WRX is sick, theres a lot of work in both, but i would have spent the money VERY differently on the reg lancer. I think the fake badging makes the lancer look like an overgrown toy hot wheel. Sell the indash LCD and get a turbo,(and give the car some *****)

I'm wondering what the total cost of doing all that was.

i know you guys probably think i try to pass it off like it is an evo. i don't. i am doin the kind of thing that mustang people do with the saleen kits and stuff. I tell everyone it is a conversion and i did it only because i like the style of the 7. the badges are there because most people have no idea there was even an evo7. i understand where everyone is coming from though. I just hated how plain the trunk looked w/out the badges. when i figure out something that will break the yellow up i will remove it. but untill then it is good enough for me.

the turbo is done i am waiting for my buddy to give me his intercooler off his evo to finish it. i used our stock wrx td04L running off the actuator at 7psi. didn't really need the lancer to be fast because we have the subie. it has cost me a lot less to do everything to both cars then most think. a big reason i did it that i forgot to mention is we had the subaru and i wanted the car to take after the rivalry that has gone on for so long. the evo and sti's just aren't worth the 30-35k each costs in my opinion.
Lancer including my turbo setup is 6-7k. WRX is about 11k for everything

gauges still work and are acurate except the odometer. they are a direct swap. the tach will only rev to 6300 so redline says 7000 but you won't hit it

very nice ride!!!!!but again i would agree with every one, remove the evo badge and leave the triple diamond emblem. that would look right....be a proud oz owner.

Good presentation overall. I think the interior is overkill. How does one define 'wanabe ricer'? It sounds like an contradiction. Back to topic, I like the presentation. The interior kills it for me though, gotta go easy on that yellow. Keep it real!
