Custom Accolade kit.

Well today was great... i called into work ( at target ) and decided to meet up with some car enthusists. It was a small "meet" if you will. Then i got a call from my friend, he was at his shop and wanted to know if i wanted to work on my car a little. So im like hell yea, i drive over there, and we start work on the kit. the bumpers, and ss are at school, so i can't get to them. But luckily we have the hood and spoiler. Spoiler needs alot of work. bondo'd the side tabs on, we bondo'd around the middle piece, and then we ended up cracking the side off. so my fired was fixing it this weekend. well we used a Semi Gloss flat black as a primer ( rattle can ) and let me tell you, for the ****ty paint job we expected, it looks 1/2 way decent... another problem, the spoiler is for the 04. and come to find out, the screw holes don't line up... what to do? Make your own stud! and that we did. long story short we made it fit correctly and it looks GREAT, will get pics in the mornin. its 1:30 am now, and i've been up since 8am. Im on 6 hours of sleep too! if this makes no sense, i will edit it in the morning and get some pics up.

going to work on car again, pics are uploading to HERE. REALLY Big.

Just to clarify, the spoiler holes of the 04, 02-03, and the evo's are all the same. Which is why you can install an evo spoiler on a 02-03 lancer without drilling new holes or install a ralliart spoiler without drilling new holes. Just thought i'd let u know.

I want that kind of hood for my 04. The problem with bumpers that get rid of the stupid nose piece is that the hoods have that rise in the front center. There was a cool looking kit in the Evo S&S forum. Make me an Evo 7 style kit for the 04 and I'd be happy.

you know nothing about these kits, if you had one and were educated with puting one on, they you would understand what i am saying. its a 3 piece spoiler. we bondo'd it into 1 piece... we accidently cracked the side panel in shop class, not accolade's fault. the screw holes ar different b/c of the ralli art spoiler being different, they have on that fits the 02-03 now, b4 they did not. Also, when your in the business of automotive collision repair, you learn some things like, if it don't fit, fabricate it.

for the record yes i drilled holes, IN THE SPOILER TO ADD THE STUDS.

Edit: if ( OZlancerlunitc or anyone for that matter ) are confused, hit me up via pm or AIM, screen name is right over there.

Sorry I know nothing about accolade kits and their fitment?

I usually buy things to fit. Now tell me this,if you didnt happen to be so lucky as to "be in the business" would you be saying the same thing if a shop called you and said we need to charge you $x more cause your spoiler doesnt fit properly.

... they shouldn't have called me any how, if i said get it on, they would have most likely drilled new holes and made it fit, like a shop should. Sorry for you're bad expierence with the body shop though....
