i recently discovered that injen makes a 04 ra cai for automatics. anyone know if anyone makes one for an es auto?

 

no i don't think they're are any CAI for auto lancers. they might have been able to do one for the RA because of the different engine, and might have more space. you would have to make a custom one if u want cai because the normal spot is a no go since the auto tranny is in the way.

 

is that the only reason why there are no CAI for an auto? I'm sure someone could reroute the pipe without that much more effort.

 

Heh heh. Take a look under your hood sometime... it's real cramped in there... you'd really have to make some effort to do it. I'm happy w/ my SRI, doesn't really make much of a difference on our cars, just a show thing.

yeah i was about to buy the sri...but i was hoping for a cai... how much did you give for yours and where did you get it?

 

you could make a cai but it would be in the same place as a normal one. the only other place you could put it is back by the firewall on the drivers side. but that is risky since there is no splash guard back there to protect it. just get a short ram like injen or k&n, you'll notice a difference.

 

if you moved the battery into the trunk it would be much easier

yeah im havin the same problem... except i really dont know too much about cars im kinda new to this lol uh i was told to get more hp i should get a cai and a exhaust and i really cant find too much for an auto 04 lancer es.... which is depressing. so since the make a sri for my car whats the difference between that and a cai? and does any one know who makes an exhaust for it? i found one from magnaflow but its for the 02 03 model and im not sure if it will fit.... uh yeah a bit off topic but if someone can help thanks

when i had my 05 es i bought the RRM SRi. dont remember what i paid for it. it looked great with the CF guard.
