Car Show Tips

Not sure if this has been covered before but I'm asking anyone whose ever entered a car show to maybe throw out some info on things/mods that judges value more over others.

I know theres certain points awarded depending on the mod, but I was just wondering if anyone knows what mods recieve the most points. Or even what you need to do to become a judge.

I'm really starting to gain interest in the show scene but I've never entered and wouldnt know the first thing to do. But I'd like to stand a fighting chance and not embarass myself by not being well prepared.

Make sure it's clean!!!!! Every little nook and cranny, even the engine belts, etc. As far as what mods to add I'm not sure, I would make sure that they compliment the car and they shine

On your way too the show watch who you're riding with. Watch their shoes, watch their clothes... make sure what THEY wear is extra clean so it doesn't dirty your interior. same thing for YOUR shoes

.. anything thats not practical gets u points.. being different. i've seen a 350z with with three 7" inch monitors in the engine bay... a full CF M3... a ton of cars with air suspension. detailed interior, fiberglass interior. ... i went to a car show and was talking to a guy with lambo doors on his 350z.. the judge came up to his car and basically had a check list and looked at all the mods up close and asked if anything was in the trunk. i think u should get sponsored if u expect to win a car show.

Great thread.. keep this one going please. I want to put my car in Hot Import Nights Cleveland this year. I want to get a powered display so I can have my stereo, gps, neons, and all that stuff working. I was thinking about getting headlight and taillight strobes just to attract a little attention. Also, my car is always super clean. That helps.
