Video of my GReddy Turbo Timer
I took this for another member, but i thought some of you guys might be curious to see it and the noise it makes.
Im not 100% sure why it says SiD, but i think its because i dont have the speed sensor hooked up.
Since the site who hosts this is temporary, maybe someone can Host n Post it for everyone before it goes dead.

I have a question about a turbo timer; i assume its like a sterio; you can buy anyone you want but you have to have the wiring harness to connect correct? Well if i pick up a "evo turob timer" (just some title on ebay) will the harness fit my lancer? If not where would i get such a thing?

I have a greddy turbo timer and yes the reason you're getting that sid thing is because you don't have your speed sensor wire hooked up. What I ended up doing was just connecting it to my ground. That stopped the problem and the unit still works fine. Basically you're tricking it into thinking you have it hooked up and the car isn't in motion. The speed sensor wire is a safety feature to keep someone from driving away with the car while the timer is counting down. If it senses that the car is moving it will automatically shut off so the car can't go anywhere. I didn't think this feature was necessary, and the sid thing was getting on my nerves so I just grounded that wire and it took care of the problem. Also, I didn't get a wiring harness for mine, I just soldered the wires right into my ignition wires. Saved me $15 on a harness. It was only like 3 wires anyway. I love the unit though. Works great, looks cool, and can even automatically calculate the optimum extra run time! I love the looks I get when I stop somewhere and let it run and then when it shuts off people are like, dude, your car just stalled!
