I just ordered 5 spoke Gunmetal 18 inch wheels to go with my Thunder Gray paint. Ive also painted my calipers red. I want a red and gray paint scheme to go together. However..i cant tell whether 5 spoke 18 inch wheels will look to big on my 03 Lancer OZ Rally...heres the wheels... http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/exel/h50gm.gif
Also...my car isnt lowered...will these wheels raise my height significantly? I have stock lips all around the car...only upgrades to the car is the kickn 1000 watt sound system from MTX and these wheels im about to purchase...need advice...anyone?

I have 18's on my Lancer, never had a problem. Some say that they're too big, but I think 18's and 17's look just right. I'm not sure about ride height, I have stock lips on my ES and the ride doesn't seem high to me at all. I could do with some lowering springs though, so you should have room if you want to lower it if its too high for you.
shouldn't be a problem just depends on the size of tire you buy. i'd ask neal@tirerack he can calculate the exact size wheels you would need to be about stock height.
you can fit 19's on a lancer, but you'd have a hell of a time with potholes as you'd have to buy like 30 or 35 profile rubbers.
i was looking into getting the TZ-7's myself in white but i was looking to get them in 17's cause PA potholes suck ***

my 18" ADr Spades work just fine, but I don't wanna lower my car with the roads around here! There are pics on my CarDomain page, but you should be fine with that. I got 215/35/18 so I know that would work, but good luck with yours too!
input on wheels anyone? like or dislike on Thunder Gray Lancer with red calipers? The spokes are really wide apart with 18 inch wheels and the spokes are kind of narrow...not sure exactly how its gonna look on a TG Lancer...

The calipers would probably look good red, but don't do the back drums. Potholes are the only problem for me and it sounds terrible and makes me cringe
Pure weight isn't the only issue, how far the weight is distributed away from the support or axle is also an issue. Take a 20lb weight and hold it right against your body, it'll be nice and easy, now extend your arm and hold that weight as far away as possible, you'll be lucky to last 10 minutes. The same principle applies to the car's wheels, a 16" rim that weighs 15 lbs is easier to turn than an 18" rim that weighs 15 or maybe even 13 lbs.
Basically you have to decide what you want your rims for, pure looks or a mix of looks and performance. 18s look great, but they suck for acceleration and general performance.
i have 18s (215/35/18) and i blew a tire last week. roads in new jersey are crazy when it comes to potholes but i suggest that u get road hazard coverage for ur tires if u get 18s
