I did read it all, and what I am saying is that there is nothing that going to blind anyone coming off the stock housings if they are aimed correctly.

well, i am lucky that i am not driving infront of you or coming the opposite direction of you. you may be right with proper adjustment with your kit. but, a kit is a kit with stock reflectors...still going to have glares. kit vs oem is and have always been a debate. it is whatever you prefer....a matter of taste. i just prefer the oem hid better than the kit. the light is just more focus and you get the kewl color cutoff with flickering. i will take some pics tonight and post them up...

there is some glare, but it is all to the side and about the light itself, thats all, and it is nowhere people are going to be looking anyway.

i'm excited now, i want to see cut off lines for both hid setups. just take the pic from the driver seat and we'll see.

i already know what to expect from projectors: a super crisp cut off line, like it was painted or something

I wasn't arguing that it would or would not change light output, hell, I know it does. I am just saying that you can use the stock housings and if aimed properly they are brighter and do not blind people. I didn't take any still photos tonight just some videos and I am going to try and put them up on my webspace. Camera doesn't like it being so dark but it gives you a general idea. I also made sure to compare the glare to that of halogens and it is identical.

Update: Ok for the picture, I thought this would be a fair comparison. My car is on the left and a regular lancer is on the right (got lucky and caught them on the way back home). My car 's video was taken with the ground being wet and directly on. The other Lancer was taken in motion, from the right side of the road on dry ground. Most of the glare and lens refraction is because of the camera, this is why I used a picture of both cars, to show my point that yes they do not have that flicker that BMW and Mercedes have, but they do infact not blind people. Which is all "I" was trying to say in the beginning, because I know if you have projectors it will look alot better and I never said that they didn't just said they were not necessary to have with hids and to be safe.

Update 2: also, if anyone know where I can host some movies please let me know and I will upload these so everyone can see them a bit better.

those pics are from video which I took tonight which will prove that there is no extra glare. My camera is fine. In any case a camera will show lense refraction on any lights so I was just showing that from a cameras point of view my lights are simply whiter and thats it, no extra glare or anything. As I asked before if someone will tell me where I can upload the video I will.
