Custom Intake and YELLOW TINT

Ok, so here are the pix from my installs today. I cut a hole out of my Injen SRI heat shield to fit the stock ram air duct. In the summer this will help get cooler air when the engine gets hot. Also, I got my yellow tint done earlier. It was delayed from last week because it had to be custom ordered from Cali. I hope everyone likes.

If someone would like me to make a "HOW TO" for the intake shield thingy, I took pix during the steps of how to cut it, and all the measurements. Just let me know. If there is a high demand, I'll make a how-to article.

Just 1 ? Why red instead of yellow? Nice though.

I bought red and yellow paint.. but I finally decided to use red. I don't know why, but I could change it later if I need to. I though it would be too much yellow for the engine bay. I am also getting a K-style rally strut bar, and it comes red. I though I would have the intake system red to match.

the yellow tint is definately different. I saw a lancer with a kaminari kit and red tint at the first evo vs wrx shootout at raceway park last summer. Colored tint isnt something I see much of.

Ya, I thought the yellow tint would make it stand out at a car show. I only have seen one other car in the whole state of michigan with yellow tint. So I'm just tryin to be a little different without going whacko.. lol.
edit: just trying to keep it clean lookin.

looks good. I like the custom intake heat shield. I like the color red on that for contrast, otherwise, it'd be too much yellow.
