you just need to remember that red has no clearcoat so results may vary big time...

wow, ummm, dude red has clear. it has since like the 1970's, lol. the only problem w/ red is it has the weakest pigment and fades very easily compared to other colors, but it should stay like new if u maintain it

I use Meguiars Polish and Meguiars Gold class wax will get you shining like this!

I wash the car... then i put the polish on 1st. then i apply the wax on 1 side of the car and let the sun bake the wax in. for 20 mins then i tun the car on the other side facing the sun and let the sun bake the 2nd side for another 20 mins... my version of a hot wax lol........ then buff it off..
Wahh-Lahh! u guys are scaring me though cuz i wax my ride every saturday... (weather permitting) i dont wax my cf hood though... i dunno if i should

do a search on the evo owner's complaints about the RR paint job. Some bodyshops have even said that it's a single stage paint job as well.

I claybarred, glazed, and waxed using NXT Tech Liquid Wax. I dunno...i like it, but it's not the BLING WET LOOK i was looking for. And the 'throw the terry towel across the car and see if it slides' test did not do so well. I used Mother's Carnuba Paste Wax prior and the towel slid off like it was butta. I only did one coat of NXT Wax and I might do another tomorrow to see if it makes a difference.

OH true that man~! Sometimes I feel my car has enslaved me. I put her ahead of eating and resting. Sometimes during the process I would just take a quick break, look at my ride as she stares at me and says "Yeh that's right biatch...keep rubbin." It's a weird feeling, hehe.

But now in the night time under the street light, you can see the glassy shine to it. Thing I noticed, the car collects a lot of dust. My g/f ran herfinger through it, all nice and smooth, but her finger was black. I quickly took my Cali Duster out and wiped her down, yeh the car...hehe.

hmm, I got a bottle of that Turtle Wax ultra gloss (liquid) that you had and it worked great for me. The water still beads up on my car like 3 months later. Before I used that wax though, I used Mother's cleaning wax (liquid). Maybe that would make a difference. I am going to switch over to Meguiars though before Hot Import Nights: Cleveland and give their wax a try. I think my dad just bought a bottle of it. I always hear good stuff from Meguiars. Mother's is also a really good wax. If anything I'll just go back to Mother's. I trust their wax/polish the most. When I wax my yellow OZ with it, it looks like a banana creamsicle.. lol. mmm good enough to eat. I also used that canabura wax, and it even smells like banana's rofl.

lol, you're not crazy, I used to keep a microfiber towel in the back of my old talon (eclipse conversion) to wipe the dust off my ride after I got done driving down the road.. I would pull into a parking lot and wipe off my ride, then drive off again. lol. But that was only after I put on my body kit and had a nice new coat of paint on it. haha.

Even after the wax job, I still noticed that I got some massive bad swirl marks on my ride. What do you guys use to take that ish off?
