Your car has alot of taste that i've had in mind for awhile now, I've had the same idea about doing the top like yours except i wanted to do it black and bring it more down just above the door handles all the way around with a cf hood,cf trunk as well as carbon fiber evo spoiler..maybe one day i'll get around to it....heh, by the way, nice ride

Well he is entitled to his own opinion, and not everyone has loved it, I simply said I respected it, I wouldn't do it to my car, but its nice to see people trying new things.

I totally understand that he is entitled to his opinion, that is why I said I didn't sweat it. I know some people like it and some don't. That is with anything we do to our cars.....I'm sorry if I came off cocky about how many people liked it, I didn't mean to. I was just going off of the majority of the posts said that they liked it and I think his was the first that came out and said that he didn't like it. Which is cool....even though it was done in a juvenile way ( showing a pic of rice,

I understand you prefer to spend your money pimping out the Lancer and making it look unique, while I prefer to spend my money increasing performance and letting the car track times speak for themselves. We just have different ways of drawing attention...
Honestly, does that flat front bumper not make you crinkle your nose? I can't get over how plain it looks on all Lancers, as opposed to the pointed Evo front end. Do you refrain from changing that so as not to cross a certain line of mimicking an Evo?

Most of what you said I understand but the only thing I don't like is the "rice" comment....That term gets used for everything that isn't to ones liking it seems. My defintion of rice is just buying random parts and throwing everything on to your car that will fit, with no theme at all in mind. I have a defintie theme going........
Now to address that I make my car "look" fast. I don't know how that is when I don't have a fart can on the back to mimick a full exhause, I don't have a 3 ft tall wing to "look" fast, I don't have NOS stickers, and so on and so on. I've never once claimed to have a fast car and it will probably never be fast. I have a 120 hp car, seriously how fast can it get. I bought the car caused I liked the way it looked and would be reliable. Now if I had a 05 Evo like you, then I might spend my money to make an already great car faster. But for me I can't see myself spending $400 for an exhaust, $250 for an intake, $200 for headers and gaining what 15 hp MAX. Now I'm at 135hp and I'm still slow. If I was worried about performance I would have bought a performance car. But I'll quit rambling......
I don't want this to turn into an arguing war, I just wanted to reply to your comment. You are allowed to think as you want, I just wanted you to know how I felt.

I'm sorry if I'm coming off like an ***, I just don't like my car being called " the pure definition of rice" I seen alot of other cars alot worse then mine
