Post pics of Sylvania Silverstars installed
Yo, i have been hearing all this sh*t about silverstars and how bright they are, but i bought some from wal-mart a week ago, and they were not bright at all. they actually sucked. Saw more light through the stock bulbs my black headlights came with. but maybe it's my aiming? i dont know..
hmmm....I dunno bout that....I have some silverstars, and they seem just a bit brighter than the stock ones.....but I'm gonna replace them with the catz galaxy white ones. I have them but I haven't put them on yet....still wanna do the black out headlights DIY mod first....if I ever get the time to....lol
beware emperor. they [the black headlights] do lessen your light output just a little. especially in your perifials [spell check]. as long as your aiming is good i think u'll be straight..i mean i can still see, but it's just not as bright as i'd like..i'm thinking of getting some of these>> http://www.luminicsbulbs.com/
ahhh...I see.....hmmm.....well...i shall be aware then....haha.....and those bulbs don't look so bad, they say they are good, and for 25 bucks wit free shipping I would say is a pretty good deal....I'd give em a try if I didn't get the catz ones already.
yeah im gonan get em' friday probably. umm - but i love my black headlights. make the car look like they have projectors from certain angles, and they give the front end a more aggressive look

i put them in my girlfriends altima and they look 90% like stock.....which sucks. They are a little better then stock...but when looking at the package it looks like you're upgrading to HID's or something.
they are a good headlight...but the advirtising they use and the claims they make do not own up to what you actually get...

You also have to look at quality and cost. Real HID's cost a lot, but they last forever, use less power than halogens, and are way brighter and cooler looking. The color of the light emitted by HID also reflects off of objects better and makes for better visibility at night. Any replacement halogen or plasma bulbs usually last like 6 months at the most. And with as much as it will cost you to keep replacing bulbs, you could actually pay for a set of HID's in a year or so and have them last for the life of the car. The cost of HID's has gone down dramatically over the past year or so. Silverstars and other "HID look" bulbs may look ok, but in the long run real HID is much nicer and more economical.
